We at Forward Mutual Insurance Company care deeply for the people within our community and wish to promote a benefit for a man dear to our hearts.

Dave Mallow, 53, of Ixonia, is a husband, father, and soon-to-be grandfather. He was recently diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the ability of the brain to signal muscle movements. As transmitters from the brain to the muscles die off, patients like Dave lose the ability to talk, walk, breath and eat without assistance. This disease has no current cure and it progresses quickly, usually within 2-5 years. This has left the Mallow family scrambling to prepare their lives for the rocky road ahead.

Benefit for Family

A group of caring individuals is holding a benefit to help with the cost of medical bills and making handicap accessible changes to the family’s home. This will be a fun event for everyone and will help fight against this difficult disease. Please join us!
